CONSTRUCTION

The hull is a one-piece FRP moulding with 4 x watertight bulkheads. The framing system is from FRP top hat sections throughout and the bottom stiffening is with FRP tophat matrix of longitudinals and transverses.

The engine beds are fabricated from steel and bolted to the FRP tophat girder. Internal furnishings also add to the hull’s stiffening. The superstructure is from FRP moulded sections glassed together and fully glassed to the hull moulding forming one integral structure stiffening from FRP tophat sections and built in minor bulkheads and furnishings. All windows are toughened safety glass with mullions fitted to the bridge front windows to reduce the impact area
